HDMI cables connect your TV, computer, Blu-ray player, game console, or other device to your TV. HDMI cables support the transmission of high-definition video, audio, and data.

HDMI cables come with a variety of connectors, including Type A, Type B, Mini, and Micro. The HDMI Type A connector is the most commonly used connector, and it's compatible with both HDMI 1.3 and HDMI 2.0. The HDMI Type B connector, which is similar to Type A, is smaller and typically found on laptops, tablets, and smartphones. The HDMI Mini connector, which is smaller than Type B, is found on devices that use Micro HDMI, such as tablets and smartphones. The Micro HDMI connector, which is the smallest connector, is found on devices with Type C ports, such as some Chromebooks and Nintendo Switches.

The HDMI connector is made up of 8 pins. The 4 pins in the center of each connector are responsible for signaling. The 4 pins on the outside of each connector are responsible for power. The 4 pins in the center and 4 pins on the outside of both connectors are for data. The 4 pins in the center and 4 pins on the outside of both connectors together form a pair, and each pair controls two channels (red, green, blue, and monochrome).

Anker 8K@60Hz HDMI Cable, Ultra High Speed 4K@120Hz 48Gbps 6.6 ft Ultra HD HDMI to HDMI Cord, Support Dynamic HDR, eARC, Dolby Atmos, Compatible with PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Samsung TVs and More

Anker [email protected] HDMI Cable

by Anker

Premium Materials: Carbon steel connectors, gold connector pins, and durable double-braided nylon finish combine together to create a cable that can be plugged and unplugged 10,000 times.

Anker's Ultra High Speed cable is blazing fast, but we found that it was a bit finicky. It was impossible to properly set up our PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X with this cable, though we were able to get the Xbox to work after spending an hour on the phone with Anker. The cable is also hard to store, since it's so long. If you're planning on using this cable with your PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, we recommend purchasing a shorter cable and using that with your console. The cable does work with other devices, including Apple TV and Roku Ultra, but you may need to purchase a separate cable for one of those devices. The cable is also compatible with Amazon's Fire TV Stick, but you'll need a separate cable for that, too. The cable is also certified to work by HDMI Forum, which ensures that it works with all HDMI devices, though it doesn't offer the same amount of support as an official HDMI certification.

While 8K video is growing in popularity, it's still not widely available, and 8K60 video is often too expensive for most people. Most 8K60 video monitors and projectors are as well, and 8K60 video cables are also expensive. The 8K60 HDMI 2.1 Cable from Silver Lightning solves all three problems. The cable is 20 feet long, so it's long enough for most home settings. The cable supports 8K60 video, 4K120 video, Dynamic HDR, eARC, ALLM, QFT, QMS, and VRR. The cable is also backward compatible with HDMI 2.0b/2.0a/1.4/1.3/1.2/1.1 versions. The cable supports HDCP 2.2 and 2.2.4, and it's compatible with Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG video. The cable supports 48Gbps bandwidth, which is fast enough for 8K video. The cable also has 4K60hz, 2K120hz, 2K144hz, 2K75hz, 2K60hz, 1080p240hz, 1080p144hz, 1080p60hz, and 720p60hz support. The cable has a braided steel core, so it's durable. The cable has gold-plated connectors, so it's durable. The cable has Lifetime Warranty.

Zeskit Maya 8K 48Gbps Certified High Ultra Speed HDMI Cable 6.5ft

by Zeskit

48Gbps bandwidth for latest features HDR, HDCP 2.2 & 2.3, DTS:X, Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision

The Zeskit Maya is the fastest cable we've seen for 4K60 video (and fastest overall for 8K60 video), and it's also one of the best-looking cables for 4K video. The cable is black and (thankfully) not braided, and it supports 8K resolutions up to 8K60 and 4K resolutions up to 4K120, both at 144Hz refresh rates. The cable is also HDR-compatible, and it carries eARC (enhanced audio return channel), so audio will be sent back to the remote using HDMI ARC. The cable supports ALLM (Audio Linear Mode), which ensures that the audio signal stays linear as the video frequency increases. A downside of the cable's high bandwidth is that it doesn't support 4K60 at 60 Hz. The cable supports eARC, Dolby Vision, and HDR10, and it supports the latest HDMI 2.2 standard. The cable is also 4K30-certified, which means it will fully support 4K30 at 60Hz, and 4K60 at 60Hz and 144Hz. The cable is also compatible with 4K60 at 30 Hz for Dolby Vision and HDR10. The cable supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X pass-through, and it supports full 4K 3D pass-through. The cable is compliant with the HDMI 2.2 standard, and it's fully certified, which is important because HDMI cables without a hologram sticker aren't officially certified. The cable's packaging is minimalist but effective. It comes in a brown box, and on the outside is a hologram sticker. When you open the box, you'll find a 6.5-foot HDMI cable and a USB power cable. The USB cable is clearly marked, and it's thin enough that it won't get in the way of other devices. The cable has a male HDMI connector on one end and a female HDMI connector on the other, so the cable is reversible. The cable is thin enough to be unobtrusive, and it's durable enough that you won't have to worry about damage if you accidentally knock the cable off its mount.

Monster HDMI Cable 4k Ultra 4ft HD with Ethernet Cord

by Monster

EASY INSTALLATION AND ROUTING: Our ultra-flexible Duraflex jacket safely protecting the cable allows for easy routing around your device for efficient and discreet installation.

The Monster HDMI cable is one of our favorites, not only for its outstanding performance, but also for its reasonable price. The cable features a 4-foot length, which is long enough for most home theater setups, and has a sturdy, durable construction. It also includes a 24-karat gold connector and corrosion-resistant contacts, which reduce signal degradation and signal loss, keeping your signal as clean and crisp as possible. The cable is also compatible with 4k devices, which perform video transfers at 40 gigabytes per second, more than fast enough for 4k content. The Monster HDMI cable also has 60- and 120-hertz refresh rates, so whether you have a 60- or 60-hertz refresh rate monitor, this cable will transfer images at 60 frames-per-second, which is ideal for gaming. The cable is reasonably priced, too, so if you're looking for a high-quality HDMI cable, this is a great choice.

Support Dynamic HDR& eARC: UGREEN HDMI 8K cable hdr provides you with a more vivid picture with dynamic hdr, supporting Dolby Vision HDR, HDR 10+, etc. It also enables you to enjoy perfect audio fidelity. Enhanced Audio Return Channel enables the use of object-based surround sound formats, such as Dolby Atmos.

The 8K HDMI 2.1 cable from Ugreen is the best cable we tested, and it's the only one that supports 8K 60Hz. It's ideal for 8K TVs and projectors, and it's also a good choice for 4K TVs, since 4K 120Hz and 4K 100Hz are still rare. The cable is extremely fast, and it supports HDR10 and eARC, so it's compatible with all HDR10 content. The cable is very long (6 feet), and it's braided, so it resists tangles. The cable is more expensive than other cables we tested, but it's well worth the money. The cable is well-built, and it's flexible, so you can bend it as needed. The cable is 24 AWG, so it's thicker than many 6-foot cables, but it's thinner and more flexible than many 8-foot cables. The cable is more expensive than many 6-foot cables, but it's well worth the money.

Amazon Basics High-Speed 4K HDMI Cable - 10 Feet

Amazon Basics High-Speed 4K HDMI Cable

by Amazon Basics

Cable allows you to share an Internet connection among multiple devices without the need for a separate Ethernet cable

Amazon's Basics High-Speed HDMI cable is the cheapest option we tested, but it's surprisingly good. This cable is 10 feet long, so it's long enough to run from an HDMI-enabled device (like a TV or Blu-ray player) to an HDMI-enabled display (like a projector), or from an HDMI-enabled device to HDMI-enabled display. The cable is black, so it blends in with its surroundings, and it's thin enough to run virtually unnoticed. It's also the widest cable we tested, and that's important because HDMI cables can get tangled pretty easily. We had no issues with cable tangling, and each of the two HDMI connectors has a metal housing that helps keep the cable from being bent or pinched. The only drawback is that the cable doesn't provide 4K video, which is to be expected at this price. The cable is also compatible with lower resolutions, such as 1080p and 720p.

Amazon Basics High-Speed HDMI Cable (18Gbps, 4K/60Hz) - 3 Feet, Nylon-Braided

Amazon Basics High-Speed Cable HDMI (18Gbps, 4K/60Hz)

by CE-LINK LTD

ETHERNET READY: Built-in Ethernet allows for sharing an Internet connection among multiple devices (no need for a separate Ethernet cable)

We like the Amazon Basics High-Speed HDMI Cable for its combination of low price, high compatibility, and relatively short length. It's less expensive than our top pick, but it's slightly longer, and its braided nylon construction is slightly thinner than our pick's. It meets HDMI standards, and it supports 4K video resolutions at 60 Hz, 2160p, and 48-bit/px color depth. The Amazon Basics cable is also compatible with earlier versions of HDMI-enabled devices. The cable we tested was fast, and it had the fewest problems with interference or ghosting that we've ever seen in a HDMI cable. It's also compatible with Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and computers to TVs, displays, and A/V receivers. The only major downside is that the cable has a 3-foot length, which is half that of our top pick, so if you're looking to connect your HDMI-enabled devices to hard-to-reach places (such as the back of your TV), an Amazon Basics cable might not work for you.

4K HDMI Cable 10ft, iVANKY 18Gbps High Speed HDMI 2.0 Cable, 4K@60Hz HDR Aluminum Shell Braided HDMI Cord, 2K, 1080P, 3D, 32AWG, ARC for MacBook Pro 2021, UHD TV, Laptop, Monitor, PS4, Xbox One, &More

IVANKY 4K HDMI Cable 10ft

by IVANKY

[Unparalleled durability] - Built with premium slim aluminum shell and high-quality nylon braided jacket. Sturdy aluminum alloy shell gives extra durability when compared to most common plastic shell cables. Withstand over 15,000 bend lifespans. Withstands up to 5kg weight (around 2.5 laptops). No more worrying about the connector bending, coming out of the housing, or even being left in your TV's HDMI port causing any damage.

When we tested the best HDMI cables, we found that the best cables were inexpensive but provided great performance. The 4K HDMI Cable from iVanky delivers on both fronts. For only $5, you get a solid cable that should last you for years, and for that money you get cables that perform very well. The cable's HDMI 2.0 18Gbps support means it can transfer a 4K video at 60Hz with 4-channel audio. That's not as fast as the more expensive cables, but it should be enough for most viewers. The cable's aluminum shell and braided nylon sheath should provide some protection, and the cable's length (10 feet) removes some uncertainty. We also like that the cable's gold-plated connectors resist corrosion, and the cable is marked with 18Gbps, which is a good sign. The cable comes with a good assortment of connectors and adapters, including HDMI 2.0, HDMI 1.4, and Micro-HDMI, and the cable supports 4K resolutions up to 4096x2160 pixels. The cable also supports audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD, and DTS-HD Master Audio.

4K HDMI Cable 6.6 ft,Capshi High Speed HDMI 18Gbps Cable,4K, 3D, 2160P, 1080P, Ethernet

by Capshi

Compatible with all HDMI Components: Backwards compatibility with all HDMI versions .Perfect for all HDMI enabled devices such as TV's, Monitors, Computers, PS3, PS4, other HDMI-enabled devices to your 4K/HD TV, monitors, displays or projectors.

The Capshi High Speed HDMI Cable supports a wide range of resolutions, including 4K at 6.6 Gbps, 2K at 3.0 Gbps, HD at 1.5 Gbps, and 480p at 48 Mbps. The cable also supports all versions of HDMI, including HDMI 1.3, HDMI 1.4, HDMI 1.4 with Ethernet, and HDMI 2.0. The cable is durable, and it's important to note that it's rated for up to 15 meters of length, so you shouldn't have to worry about it collapsing at even the shortest distances. The cable is slim and compact, so it's easy to carry and store. The cable is also affordably priced, at $19.99. One notable downside is the ARC support, which is only included with HDMI 2.0 cables, not with earlier versions. Another downside is the single Ethernet port, which limits the cable's usefulness if you need to stream video from multiple devices simultaneously.
