We found that it works best with things like tortillas and fries, which spiral up when air frying. For air frying steaks, the breading doesn't crisp up evenly, and the meat tends to come out a bit dry. The slow cook function did a much better job of retaining moisture in meat, and the crisper plate took my favorite method of cooking chicken - pan roasting - to the next level. The cooking pot is roomy enough for large roasts, and the slow cook function works well for even cooking. The included recipes are a good starting point, but we'd also recommend finding some of your own. The cookbook contains some good recipes, but it's limited in the number of gluten-free and vegan ones.
