The Devcon 12045 Premium Silicone Adhesive is our favorite silicone sealant because it's easy to apply, adheres to a wide variety of surfaces and comes in a convenient, 1.76-ounce tube. The silicone dries quickly and creates a waterproof seal that resists aging and weathering. The adhesive cures sufficiently fast that you'll be able to use it within 12-24 hours. We applied the silicone to a glass window seal, and after 12 hours, the silicone was hard, waterproof and perfectly sealed the window. The Devcon 12045 has a matte finish, so it blends well with most surfaces. The adhesive has a slight odor, but it's mild and doesn't linger. The Devcon 12045 silicone adhesive is affordable and well worth a try, but if you've got other silicone sealants on hand, you might want to stick with those.
Devcon 18245 Weld-It Cement

The Devcon 22045 Plastic Welder is one of the best models for its price. It's easy to use, environmentally friendly and, at only $7.99 on Amazon, it's a bargain. The plastic welder is easy to use, but you'll still need to practice on some scrap plastic to get the hang of the application process. The instructions are straightforward, and the welder comes with everything you need, including a vacuum-fitted protective cap. The welder heats quickly, and the adhesive sets quickly, too, so you don't have much time to waste. The adhesive is flexible, so it's relatively easy to route around imperfections. There's no need to worry about over-bonding either, as the adhesive can cure even if it's not completely flat. The adhesive will bond a variety of materials, including wood, metal, vinyl, concrete and fiberglass. The glue dries hard and strong, and it's resistant to many chemicals, too. The Devcon 22045 Plastic Welder is a good value, and we highly recommend it.
Devcon 20445 Flow-Mix 5-Minute Epoxy

The Devcon 20445 Flow-Mix 5-Minute Epoxy was our favorite fast-acting epoxy for repairing damaged metal, wood, and concrete. It was easy to use, and we were able to repair a cracked metal step rail in less than a minute, thanks to its fast curing time. The epoxy dried to a smooth, glossy finish, and cured completely in about 60 minutes. The epoxy was easy to work with, and we were able to fill small cracks and holes without trouble. The epoxy set quickly, and we were able to sand it and stain it after 24 hours. We also found that the epoxy filled larger holes, such as those left by nails, well. The epoxy's fast curing time makes it ideal for use outdoors, and the glossy finish makes it a good choice for indoor projects. The Flow-Mix nozzle automatically mixes the epoxy and hardener together, and the epoxy itself has a good consistency. The epoxy is slightly yellowish, but we didn't find it especially unattractive. The epoxy isn't as strong or durable as some epoxy repairs, but for minor repairs, it's hard to beat Devcon 20445 Flow-Mix 5-Minute Epoxy.
Devcon 31345 2 Ton Clear Epoxy

This Devcon 31345 epoxy is the strongest clear adhesive we found. Its toughness and transparency make it perfect for attaching things that need to remain visible. It's also very well suited for bonding to glass, but we found that it was slightly weaker than the Loctite 4862, which is our top pick for glass bonding. The Devcon epoxy had excellent resistance to salt solution, unleaded gasoline, mineral spirits, oil and anti-freeze, and it had good impact strength. The Devcon epoxy had good handling time and fast cure time, but it had a somewhat slow set time. The Devcon epoxy was slightly less translucent than Loctite 4862, but it's much more transparent than Devcon's other clear epoxy, 31345, which is thicker and tougher. The Devcon 31345 2-ton epoxy is very strong, and it's well suited for high-clarity uses.
