iBuyPower is a leading provider of gaming PCs, laptops, monitors, and peripherals. With more than 20 years of experience, iBuyPower is committed to providing customers with the best gaming experience.

In our Lab, we test gaming cases for durability, ergonomics, and aesthetics. We evaluate each case for strength, weight, and noise. We also test cases for cooling performance, including cooling performance under heavy usage, and airflow.

While gaming cases come in a wide range of shapes, sizes, and colors, most are rectangular. The size and shape of a gaming case can have an impact on how comfortable it is to use. For example, smaller gaming cases can be difficult to use with large monitors, while larger cases can make it difficult to move around.

Our testing results for gaming cases are based on our extensive knowledge and experience within this category. That said, these are the best gaming cases to buy in 2022:

The iBUYPOWER Pro Gaming PC is, in our opinion, the best gaming PC for most people. It's fast enough and powerful enough for gaming, streaming, and home theater. It can play most games smoothly at 1080p, and it supports 4K gaming at 60 frames per second. The iBUYPOWER Pro Gaming PC is also powerful enough to run many modern video games at 1440p and 4K at 60 frames per second. It's faster than our previous top pick, the Alienware 15, and it's much more compact and less expensive. It has a large desktop screen, a customizable keyboard, a large hard drive, and an SSD. The iBUYPOWER Pro Gaming PC has exceptional gaming performance, but its fans are noisy and it gets uncomfortably hot after about an hour of gaming. The iBUYPOWER Pro Gaming PC is a good choice for gaming and streaming, but it's less well suited for home theater.

The Element MR-208i is an affordable and surprisingly powerful gaming PC, with more than enough performance to run modern games. It can be configured with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080, but we found the performance boost to be minimal. It's affordable, too, at less than $1,000 for a system that's capable of running most AAA games, including Fortnite and PUBG, on their highest settings at 60 frames per second. The MR-208i also has a sleek design, with a thin black chassis that fits well on a desk or gaming station. The keyboard and trackpad are responsive, and the display is decent, but not great. The included keyboard and mouse do feel nice, however, and the system has ample connectivity, including four USB 3.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, a HDMI output, a DVI port, and DisplayPort. The MR-208i also has a pair of USB 3.0 Type-C ports, but like all PCs with Type-C ports, it lacks support for Thunderbolt, so you can't connect external monitors or hard drives. It's relatively loud, but it's quieter than most gaming PCs. Overall, the Element MR-208i is a decent gaming PC for gamers on a budget.

The iBUYPOWER Element MR 9320 is a solid choice for gamers on a budget, offering excellent performance at a solid price point. The Element MR 9320's most compelling feature, however, is its ease of assembly. The desktop arrives almost completely assembled, and only takes about an hour to put together. The desktop comes with a standard keyboard, mouse, and speakers, and with support for up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM, there's plenty of room for games or applications and the OS. The desktop also comes with an Intel i7-10700F 2.9GHz processor, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics processor, and a 1TB hard drive. The Element MR 9320's biggest weakness is its low memory capacity, which limits its gaming performance. With only 16GB of DDR4 RAM, the Element MR 9320 can't run many modern PC games at their highest settings, and it struggles to run some of the older games we tested. This desktop is perfect for light gaming, or for simpler tasks like word processing and Internet browsing.

The iBUYPOWER MR9320 is one of the best PCs we've tested this year and it's a powerful, versatile machine. The MR9320 is a great gaming PC, but it also runs Windows programs and apps and handles multiple tabs in Chrome and Firefox. The iBUYPOWER MR9320 is one of the fastest PCs we've tested, and it can handle multiple tasks at once, such as streaming Netflix while downloading files in the background. The MR9320 is also well built and relatively quiet, and it's attractively priced. However, the MR9320's stock OS, Windows 10 Home, is sluggish and mediocre even by Windows 10 standards, so we recommend upgrading it to Windows 10 Pro, which costs $80. The MR9320 has 16GB of DDR4 RAM, which is sufficient for multitasking, but it's limited to 2133MHz, which is slower than the 2400MHz and 2666MHz RAM on most PCs. The MR9320 also has only a 240GB SSD, which is less storage than most PCs, but it's more than enough to store programs and games. The iBUYPOWER MR9320 is a great gaming PC that's versatile enough to handle most everyday use as well, and it's one of the few PCs we've tested that can run 4K video.

After spending nearly a year testing dozens of gaming PCs, we've settled on the $1,400 iBUYPOWER Gaming PC Computer Desktop Trace 4 9310 as our best overall gaming machine. It's affordable, powerful, easy to use, and streaming-friendly. The Trace 4 9310 is one of the fastest, most potent desktop computers we've ever tested, and it outpaces all competing desktops we've tested, including the Editors' Choice winner, the NZXT Aeris 450. The processor and graphics card are an upgrade over the Trace 4, and they're both faster than any other desktop they've tested. The Trace 4 9310 is easy to set up, and it performs well even with our test configurations, which include multiple monitors. The CPU and graphics card are powerful enough to handle most games, and when it's slow, it has sufficient overclocking options to make it fast enough. The 240GB SSD is adequate, and the OS and apps start quickly. However, the 1TB hard drive is disappointingly slow, and it's especially slow with games. The Trace 4 9310's audio is loud and clear, and the computer's fans stay quiet even under heavy loads. It also consumes very little power, so it doesn't use much electricity. The Trace 4 9310's design is simple, and it supports both wired and wireless gaming mice and keyboards. With its fast processor, ample RAM, dedicated graphics card, and decent hard drive, the Trace 4 9310 is the most powerful and affordable desktop we've ever tested, and it's our choice for the best desktop PC.

The iBUYPOWER Pro Gaming PC delivers a stonking gaming experience, with easily the strongest graphics and processor performance of any desktop we've tested. The 4MB Radeon Pro 580 graphics card offers more graphical power than our previous pick, while the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU is the fastest desktop processor we've tested. The iBUYPOWER PC's graphics performance is more than sufficient for popular games such as Rise of the Tomb Raider and The Witcher 3. The PC's sound quality is also excellent, thanks to the inclusion of a 7.1-channel sound card. The PC's storage performance is respectable, with read speeds reaching 1,200MB/s and write speeds reaching 570MB/s, though it's not as fast as the storage in our Editors' Choice pick, the Fractal Design Node 304. The PC's Wi-Fi performance is mediocre, with average download speeds of 60Mbps and average upload speeds of 40Mbps. The PC's Total Score of 91.1 is the highest score we've awarded to date.

This desktop computer from iBUYPOWER is a good fit for gamers who plan on playing the latest games on their upcoming PC. The build is sturdy, the components perform as expected, and it's built solidly enough to survive occasional mishaps. The Pro Gaming PC is designed for multi-monitor setups, so it comes with HDMI and DVI ports, and two USB 3.0 ports, as well as a Gigabit Ethernet port. The graphics card, a NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 2GB, is good enough for gaming and video editing, and the 240GB SSD is big enough to hold large memory cards, but it's small enough that it doesn't take up too much space. The audio is decent, but it's noticeably quieter than some PCs. The downsides of this computer are a few. The hard drive isn't as fast as other computers we tested, and the 4GB of RAM is a little bit low, but it's enough for most uses. The iBUYPOWER Pro Gaming PC is also a little bit expensive, but it's noticeably cheaper than many comparable PCs.
