Tiger Corporation Tiger JKT-D10U (Uncooked) 5.5-Cup IH Rice Cooker

by Tiger Corporation

12 preset menu settings from plain/white rice, premium cooking with extra soaking time to bring out maximum flavor, quick cooking, express-limited cups faster than quick cooking, multigrain rice, long-grain rice, brown rice, GABA brown rice, porridge, mixed/sweet rice, slow cook, and cake bake.

The Tiger Corporation Tiger JKT-D10U 5.5-Cup (Uncooked) IH Rice Cooker is a no-frills, high-performance cooker. It's easy to use, and it does a great job of making rice. It heats much faster than our other picks, making it a good choice for a busy household. The Tiger JKT-D10U is faster than our previous pick, the Cuisinox 3.6-Cups IH Rice Cooker, but it takes a little longer to cook its 5.5 cups. The Tiger JKT-D10U's cooking rates are faster than the 4.5 cups of the Zojirushi NS-ZCC10, but it's slower than the 6.5 cups of the Zojirushi NS-ZCC20. It cooked our brown rice perfectly, and it even cooked our medium-grain white rice in 21 minutes. The Tiger JKT-D10U's lid lock button is a nice touch, and it's much easier to open and close than the Zojirushi NS-ZCC10's lid lock.
