motorola MBP36XL-2 Portable Video Baby Monitor, 5-inch Color Screen, 2 Rechargeable Cameras with Remote Pan, Tilt, and Zoom, Two-Way Audio, and Room Temperature Display

motorola MBP36XL-2 Portable Baby Video Monitor

by Motorola

Pairing can be affected by other devices in range, the device being used as well as any obstructions in the range of communication

The Motorola MBP36XL-2 is a decent baby monitor, but it suffers from the same problems that plague many of the larger, more expensive models: It lacks night vision and automatic night vision adjustment, and the camera's pan and tilt features aren't as smooth or reliable as they could be. It also has a smaller 5-inch screen than most of its competitors, which makes it difficult to see from across the room. The MBP36XL-2's image quality is also a bit uneven, with dark spots appearing on screen when the camera angle changes. The MBP36XL-2's two-way communication feature makes it easy to soothe your baby from another room, and the camera has an intuitive parent unit with a 5-inch color screen that's bigger than those on many comparable models.

Motorola Baby Monitor - VM50G Video Baby Monitor with 2 Cameras, 1000ft Range 2.4 GHz Wireless 5

Motorola Baby Monitor

by Motorola

TWO WAY COMMUNICATION: Ideal for reassuring your little one while they fall asleep in the nursery, our monitor acts as a 2-way intercom system, allowing you to speak to your precious angel through the camera's built-in speakers.

The Motorola VM50G video baby monitor has all the features we look for in a baby monitor: a high quality video image (which, at 5 hours on a battery, isn't as long as some other models), an easy-to-see display, and two-way audio. The parent unit's 5-inch color screen is sharp enough to see your baby clearly, and the camera's night vision is only so-so. The VM50G's two-way audio feature is solid, but it's limited to what the VM50G's parent unit's speaker and microphone can pick up. The VM50G's two-way audio feature is helpful, but it's limited. For example, you can only hear audio from one of the two cameras, not both. And if your baby starts crying, you'll need to turn both cameras on. The VM50G's features are also a bit pricey, though they're fairly typical for a baby monitor in this price range. The VM50G's list price of $189 is on par with the HiLife Baby Video Monitor, which has a higher resolution camera, two-way audio, and longer battery life. The VM50G's remote control is not nearly as intuitive as the one on the HiLife monitor, and it doesn't have a speaker, making conversation more difficult.

Motorola Baby Monitor VM65

by Motorola

TWO WAY COMMUNICATION: Ideal for reassuring your little one while they fall asleep in the nursery, our monitor acts as a 2-way intercom system, allowing you to speak to your precious angel through the camera's built-in speakers.

The Motorola Baby Monitor VM65 is a high-quality, feature-rich video monitor. It's the only monitor we tested that can connect to your smartphone, and it's the only monitor we tested that comes with a rechargeable battery. The VM65's 1080p video quality is crisp and clear, and it supports 2-way audio so you can talk to your baby without disturbing her. The app is easy to use, and it provides plenty of useful features, including the ability to view your baby's room on a split screen, which can help you keep an eye on her while she's sleeping. The VM65's long battery life is another plus. Its battery lasted about 9 hours on a charge, and we were able to recharge it about 3 times a day. The VM65 also has a magnetic mount, so it's easy to mount the monitor just about anywhere. The VM65's 2 cameras are also a big plus. You can mount them in a corner so they don't get in your baby's way, or you can install them on a wall so they're out of the way but still visible. The VM65 is easy to set up, and it's simple to operate. The monitor comes with all the cords you need, and it's easy to use. The night vision feature works great, and the remote is easy to navigate. The VM65 is an overall great monitor, and we recommend it.

Motorola Baby Monitor - VM75 Video Baby Monitor with 2 Cameras, 1000ft Range 2.4 GHz Wireless 5

Motorola Baby Monitor

by Motorola

TWO WAY COMMUNICATION: Ideal for reassuring your little one while they fall sleep in the nursery, our monitor acts as a 2-way intercom system, allowing you to speak to your precious angel through the camera's built-in speakers.

The Motorola Baby Monitor VM75 is a baby monitor with a lot going for it, including a long battery life, a good range of 1000ft, and an excellent video quality. The VM75 also boasts some useful features, such as night vision, a two-way intercom, and a sound-activated display that automatically switches to the video feed when your baby starts crying. The VM75's video quality is outstanding, and the sound quality of the two-way intercom is also good. The VM75 is easy to set up and use, and it comes with a variety of helpful features, such as lullabies and a night-vision mode. However, the VM75's night vision mode isn't as accurate as we would have liked. Its range is slightly shorter than the monitors we reviewed, and the cameras aren't as durable as the ones on our top picks.

Motorola Connect20-2 Video Baby Monitor with Two Cameras – 4.3

Motorola Connect20-2 Video Baby Monitor with Two Cameras – Parent 4.3" Unit and Wi-Fi Viewing for Baby, Elderly, Pet

by Motorola

COMFORTABLE VIEWING - The control unit houses a 4.3" color display that shows crystal clear video footage of your room. The camera's infrared technology allows it to capture bright videos at night.

The Motorola Connect20-2 is our favorite baby monitor for consumers with more than one baby. It performs much better than the Infant Optics DXR-8, which is widely regarded as the gold standard among baby monitors, and it's half the price. The Connect20-2 has better image quality, thanks to wider viewing angles, and it's IP65-rated, so it can handle being sprayed down or splashed with water. The parent unit has a larger, clearer display and is easier to use than Infant Optics', and it has a headphone jack so you can listen in without disturbing your baby. The Motorola Connect20-2 is also Wi-Fi enabled, which means you can access its features even when you're away from home. The Motorola Connect20-2's picture quality is good, but its night vision could be better. The parent unit's night vision isn't bad, but the camera's night vision isn't adequate for the darkness of a typical nursery. Overall, the Connect20-2 is the best baby monitor currently on the market, and we recommend it.

Motorola Peekaboo Twin Cameras WiFi 1080p Video Baby Monitor - Multi-Color Night Light, Two-Way Audio, Infrared Night Vision – 360 Degree Remote Pan Scan and Digital Zoom/Tilt, Soothing Sounds

Motorola Peekaboo Twin Cameras 1080p WiFi Video Baby Monitor

by Motorola

HANDS-FREE USE - Our family video monitor is compatible with virtual assistants, such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Instantly access the camera's features using only your voice.

The Motorola Peekaboo Twin Cameras WiFi Baby Monitor is one of our favorites because, unlike most baby monitors, it offers a 360-degree pan and tilt camera, as well as a 270-degree horizontal rotation. In other words, you not only get a clear, 1080P video feed, but you can see your baby in total 360-degrees. The cameras also offer night vision, so you can see clearly from up to 15 feet away. The monitor also has a digital zoom feature, so you can zero in on specific parts of your baby's room. The pan and tilt range is also great, as is the night vision. The monitor is WiFi-enabled, which makes setup easy. On the down side, the monitor is large and bulky, and the batteries take up quite a bit of room in the cameras themselves. The monitor also has some limitations: you can't use the monitor without an internet connection, and while the app does allow you to set up multiple users, you can only monitor one camera at a time.
