NOTE: Please ensure to measure rice in the cup that comes along with the product ONLY
The Panasonic SR-G06FG is an attractive, simple-to-use rice cooker. It has an easy-to-clean, stainless steel interior, and it's easy to clean as well. The pan is nonstick-coated, so cleanup is a snap, and the rice comes out perfectly cooked. The digital controls are easy to use, and you can choose from two cooking settings. The 3.3-cup capacity is also perfect for single people or couples. The SR-G06FG only cooks one serving at a time, which is perfect for solo meals. It's also important that the SR-G06FG is safe to use on a gas range. When cooking on an electric stove, the cooker will stay on as long as there's enough power. The cooker has a power-saving mode, which turns off the cooker after 3 1/2 hours, and an alarm that goes off if you forget to turn the cooker off. The cooker's rice-cook setting is the most accurate we tested: The rice was perfectly cooked, and none of the grains were mushy or overcooked. The cooker's other settings are also good: The soup setting was precise, and the porridge setting was consistent. The SR-G06FG doesn't have a browning setting, but it's good enough if you want your rice to be slightly underdone. The cooker has an auto-shutoff feature, which shuts the cooker off once it's finished cooking.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES - Along with the steaming basket, the rice cooker provides a special measuring cup for portioning the desired amount, as well as a non-scratching rice spoon for authentic Asian-style service
The Panasonic 5 Cup (Uncooked) Rice Cooker with Fuzzy Logic and One-Touch Cooking for Brown Rice, White Rice, and Porridge or Soup â 1.0 Liter â SR-DF101 (White) is our favorite new rice cooker. Its best feature is the cook menu, which lets you create up to 15 different cooking menus, from white rice to risotto to porridge, each with its own cooking temperature and time. It's easy to use: just press one button to select a setting, and Fuzzy Logic technology automatically adjusts cooking times and temperatures for perfect results every time. The LCD control panel shows how much time is left until your meal is finished, and a built-in keep-warm function keeps it at serving temperature for up to 12 hours. This rice cooker also produces beautiful rice, and our testers found that it consistently cooked rice to restaurant-quality perfection, with no sticky or overcooked spots. It has a handy keep-warm feature, too, and its cord wrap can be stored inside the unit. The Panasonic 5 Cup (Uncooked) Rice Cooker with Fuzzy Logic and One-Touch Cooking for Brown Rice, White Rice, and Porridge or Soup â 1.0 Liter â SR-DF101 (White) also produces fluffy porridge, and it's quick, too: it only took 12 minutes to cook a 1.0 liter pot of porridge. And it's easy to clean: the nonstick pot has a silicone handle that wipes clean easily, and the unit itself is dishwasher safe. The Panasonic 5 Cup (Uncooked) Rice Cooker with Fuzzy Logic and One-Touch Cooking for Brown Rice, White Rice, and Porridge or Soup â 1.0 Liter â SR-DF101 (White) is more expensive than our previous pick, the Zojirushi NS-LAC08, but we think it's well worth the extra cost.
23 Cups Cooked/46 Cups Uncooked
The Panasonic SR-GA421SH is the best automatic rice cooker we've ever tested. It's fast, easy to use, and it's versatile enough to cook small and large amounts of rice, quinoa, and other grains. The SR-GA421SH's large 23 cup capacity (5.2L) is perfect for large families or for entertaining, and it also has the Keep Warm function, so you can leave cooked rice in the machine overnight without overcooking it. The Panasonic's programmable settings allow you to cook different types of rice (basmati, long grain, short grain), and you can also program the machine to cook at low, medium, or high temperature(s). The SR-GA421SH also comes with a convenient steam basket, which you can use to cook other foods such as asparagus, artichokes, and potatoes. The only limitation is that you have to stir the food in the steam basket every so often, since it sits directly on top of the rice. The SR-GA421SH is large and bulky, so it's fairly heavy, but it's made mostly of stainless steel, and it's durable enough to take trips with you. The Panasonic has a generous 2-year warranty, and it's one of the few rice cookers we've tested that comes with a measuring cup and rice scoop.
Stainless steel lid; easy-to-clean aluminum alloy removable pan liner
The Panasonic SR-42HZP is a high quality, large-capacity rice cooker that does a great job of cooking rice. It cooks rice quickly and evenly, and it uses a powerful heater, so it heats up quickly. The control panel is user-friendly, and it includes settings to let you control the length of time you let the rice cook without adding water. The rice comes out creamy, with no grainy texture. It's also easy to clean up, thanks to the nonstick coating on the exterior. The Panasonic SR-42HZP is built to last, too, with a stainless steel outer casing and high-quality components inside. The rice pot and lid are dishwasher safe, and the inner components of the cooker are also removable for easy cleanup. The only drawback we found was that the top is plastic, so it's a bit flimsy and could break if the machine was dropped or kicked.
Included accessories: rice scoop and measuring cup
The Panasonic SR-GA401H is a great value, and it's one of the best rice cookers we've tested. It offers all of the features you want in a rice cooker, including programmable settings, a keep warm function, nonstick coated cooking pot, and a removable inner cooking pot. The nonstick coating is also easy to clean, and the cooking pot has a glass window so you can see when it's done. The keep warm function keeps the rice at the ideal serving temperature for 30 minutes, and it's programmable so you can keep warm for multiple servings.

Clear Steaming Basket
This Panasonic SR-G06FGEW rice cooker/steamer runs quietly, cooks rice quickly, and has a decent capacity. The glass lid is attractive and thoroughly transparent, and the interior is non-stick, so cleanup is easy. You don't have to worry about the rice sticking or burning, either. The cooking cycle takes 30 minutes, and it's remarkably fast for a rice cooker this size. Its nonstick coating also makes it simple to clean. The only downsides are that it's a bit on the small side, and it doesn't come with any measuring cups, so you'll need to purchase your own. The Panasonic SR-G06FGEW is a capable, affordable option, and probably the best automatic rice cooker/steamer for most people.
Other conveniences and accessories include easy, one-touch controls, durable see-through glass lid, stay-cool handles, and handy measuring cup and rice scoop
If you're looking for a rice cooker that's as simple to use as it is versatile, the Panasonic RC-10 is worth checking out. It lets you cook everything from cooked rice to steamed vegetables, and it's small enough to fit on a counter or table. It's easy to use, too, with a digital display and a straightforward user interface. The RC-10 has 12 cups of uncooked capacity, and it heats up quickly and prepares rice in 20 minutes. We haven't tried steaming yet, but Panasonic says you can cook meat and vegetables with the steamer insert, and you can also use the rice cooker as a slow cooker. The cooker's inner pan has a smooth, nonstick coating, and cleanup is quick and simple. In addition, the RC-10 has an automatic keep-warm function, so you can serve rice or other cooked dishes without reheating, and the cool-touch exterior can double as a big cutting board. What we didn't love: The only noticeable flaw is the push-button control interface, which can sometimes make using the RC-10 a frustrating experience.
