The Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging Tape is a robust tape with great holding power and excellent sealing power. It's especially tough on hard, thick cardboard boxes, and it withstands heavy handling and rough handling. The tape's adhesive is not as strong as our best heavy-duty tape, but we found it just as strong, if not stronger, than our best general-purpose tape. The Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging Tape is also more smudge-resistant than our best general-purpose tape, so it's a great choice if you need to seal up boxes that will be used for storage. As with the Scotch Packing Tape, the dispenser isn't as convenient as the TapeMate, but it's less prone to jamming. The Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging Tape is more expensive than our other picks, but it's one of the only heavy-duty tapes we tested that is also rated for archival use, so it will last much longer than other heavy-duty tapes.
Scotch Brand 051141958798 Super Scotch Glue Liquid
Features patented droplet control technology for ultimate precision.
The Scotch Super Glue Liquid has a clog-resistant bottle, so it's less likely to dry out over time. It dries quickly, too, and it's super strong. The only complaint is that it can be hard to get just the right amount out -- the bottle tapers, so it's hard to get a precise amount. The applicator is narrow, which makes it easy to control how much glue you're using, and it has a precision tip, so you can apply the glue exactly where you want it.
Scotch Scrapbookers Glue Two-Way with Applicator
Glue applicator 1.6-ounce - 47-ml, Pacl of 3
This glue is perfect for scrapbooking, but it's versatile enough to use on a wide variety of projects. It's non-toxic and photo safe, and it's easy to use. It's the same as the glue in Scotch's 3M brand, but it's much cheaper. The applicator is narrow, so it's perfect for applying small amounts of glue. (It also prevents glue from seeping out of the paper.) The glue dries fast. And it's eco-friendly.
Scotch Brand Scotch Super Liquid Glue Brush-On.17 Ounces (AD127)
Bonds to wood, metal, leather, ceramic, rubber, some plastics, and more
The Scotch Super Glue Brush-On Liquid works as well as any other super glue, but it has the advantage of being faster-drying and being more convenient to use. The liquid is dispensed through a brush tip, which is convenient because it lets you apply the Super Glue to hard-to-reach places. It also allows you to control how much glue you apply, and because the brush tip is very precise, it avoids the mess and waste that can come from squeezing out a drop at a time. The brush tip is also convenient because you can apply the glue to fabric, paper, wood, and plastic, without needing a glue applicator bottle. The brush tip is removable, so the glue can be refilled. However, the brush tip is stiff, so it's not always easy to control how much glue you put on, and the glue tends to get messy and drip when it's applied to fabric. It's also not as durable as some other super glues, and the brush tip doesn't completely remove all of the glue, so it does leave a residue when it's removed. The Scotch Super Glue Brush-On Liquid is convenient, easy to apply, and works very well, but it's not superior enough to beat out our top pick.
The Scotch Super Glue Liquid is almost identical to the original Scotch Super Glue, except for the fact that the new liquid is easier to apply. The Scotch Super Glue Liquid is extremely easy to spread and doesn't feel sticky to the touch. The glue turns to a gel when it dries, and it felt strong once it dried. It held our metal test project to metal, and it didn't leave any residue. It also held our plastic test project to plastic. The Scotch Super Glue Liquid didn't bond as strongly as Super Glue Original, but it feels much stronger and seems to stick longer, so it would still be a good choice for hobbyists.
This super-sticky, super-versatile, quick-drying, no-mess glue packs a powerful punch for a great price. It bonds well to many surfaces, including metal, wood, leather, and plastic, and it dries quickly. We liked the fine tip, which allowed us to get glue exactly where we wanted it. The glue holds well, even after prolonged exposure to water, and it cleaned up easily with water and soap. The 0.07-ounce tube packs a lot of glue, and we even used it to adhere some of the smaller parts in our test circuit. However, we preferred the 0.05-ounce tube, which packs a little less but dries faster. It has a thicker consistency, which makes for easy spreading, and the 0.05-ounce tube is also lighter and easier to carry, and it holds about 50% more gel.
Gorilla Clear Glue
Easy to Use.Bonds Virtually Everything: Wood, Stone, Metal, Ceramic, Foam, Glass and More
Gorilla glue is a super-strong, waterproof adhesive that is great for indoor and outdoor applications. It's strong, yet flexible enough to handle a variety of projects, plus it's waterproof, so it's perfect to use around water. The formula is crystal clear, and it dries quickly, so it's easy to work with. Plus, it's non-toxic, non-flammable, and ages well. The only drawback is that it doesn't dry completely clear, so it shows where it's applied. In our tests, Gorilla glue was the strongest adhesive we tested, but we were also most happy with the results. We successfully adhered paper to wood, metal, ceramic, leather, plastic, and vinyl, as well as a variety of other materials, including fabric. The glue dried clear and was water-proof, but Gorilla glue did shrink slightly on wood, so we tested several kinds of wood and found that oak and pine had the best adhesion. Gorilla glue also performs well outdoors. We used it to attach wood to concrete, and it worked great. It dried quickly, and it did not leave any residue.
EZlifego Double Sided Heavy Tape Duty (9.85FT)
EASY TO USE- Size: length 9.85 Feet ,width 3.0cm(1.18in) ,thickness 0.07in.Strong Holding Power: Holds up to 18 pounds on smooth surfaces (1 pound per 4 inches). It can be easily cut to any size or length you require. All you need to do is to stick the tape to the surface of the item.
The EZlifego Double Sided Tape is a quality product that lives up to its name. It's strong, it sticks well, and it's reusable, so you won't need to buy new tape as long as you keep using it. It's also versatile, allowing you to fix almost anything to whatever surface you want. And, since the tape is clear, it hides well on surfaces, so it won't look ugly. The only drawback is that it's a little difficult to remove. After using the tape, you may need to use a hair dryer or heat gun to soften the adhesive so you can easily remove it without harming the surfaces. There's also a learning curve with this tape. The first time you use it, you may need to apply more force to stick it to the surface, but once you're used to it, it sticks almost instantly.
Gorilla Super Glue Gel
VERSATILE: Bonds plastic, wood, metal, ceramic, rubber, leather, paper and more. Not recommended for use on polyethylene or polypropylene plastic or similar materials
The Gorilla Super Glue Gel is our favorite gel-based super glue for two reasons. First, its formula is far superior to the one used by the other gel-based super glues we tested, which had trouble setting even on vertical surfaces. The Gorilla formula sets quickly, but it's strong, too, and it's virtually impossible for water to ever get between the glass and the glue. The Gorilla Super Glue Gel is also the only super glue we tested that has an anti-clog cap, which helps keep the glue from drying out and makes it easier to apply. (The other gel-based super glues we tested use a regular cap.) That said, the Gorilla Super Glue Gel's performance isn't quite as good as that of the Goop Super Glue, which is our top pick. The Gorilla Glue Gel's formula is thinner, so it's less flexible than Goop's, and it's also slightly less strong. The Gorilla Glue Gel also takes a little longer to bond, and its Clear formula is slightly less opaque than the Goop Super Glue's White one. Still, the Gorilla Super Glue Gel's performance is far better than that of all the other gel-based super glues we tested, and it's nearly as good as that of the Goop Super Glue.
