Turntables, while a classic, are making a comeback. They're the perfect way to listen to vinyl records, CDs, and cassettes, which are perfect for listening to your favorite music at home.

While vinyl records are still a popular choice, CDs and cassettes are also great ways to listen to music, especially if your records aren't available. The MOOZ Themes Reviews Lab has tested dozens of turntables over the years, including turntables with CD players, and we've rounded up the best models you can buy in 2022, based on performance, ease of use, and reliability.

While some of the best turntables come with built-in CD players, some models are standalone units. Our turntables with CD players are best for listening to a wide range of music, from vinyl records to CDs. Our top pick is the Crosley Turntable with USB Port and Cassette Player, which is known for being affordable, durable, and reliable.

JENSEN JTA-575 3-Speed Stereo Turntable MP3 CD System with Cassette and AM/FM Stereo Radio

JENSEN JTA-575 3-Speed Stereo Turntable MP3 CD with System Cassette and AM/FM Stereo Radio

by Spectra Merchandising International, Inc.

Connectivity technology: Wired

The JENSEN JTA-575 3-Speed Stereo Turntable MP3 CD System with AM/FM Stereo Radio is a well-designed, feature-rich option that plays both CDs and recordable media. It has an attractive, retro design, and it sounds great. Its big, fat speakers fill the room with rich, balanced sound, and the volume is loud enough to fill a room without overpowering you or the table itself. Its AM radio is a nice bonus, and the built-in PLL tuner provides accurate tuning, so you don't need a separate tuner. The remote is simple to use, and the table's built-in speakers provide plenty of volume. The JTA-575 adds Bluetooth wireless connectivity, so you can stream music from your computer or smartphones. However, the 3-speed belt drive turntable has a particularly poor record-velocity range, with the 33-RPM setting producing a very noisy and harsh sound. Its playback speeds are also quite slow. However, the JENSEN JTA-575 3-Speed Stereo Turntable MP3 CD System with AM/FM Stereo Radio produces great sound, and it's well worth the price.

DIGITNOW Bluetooth Record Player with Turntable Stereo Speaker

by DIGITNOW

More Function: 33 , 45, 78 RPM selectable (included 45-RPM adapter) playing, AUX in,LCD Screen backlight,With CD player and Cassette deck,And with AM/FM radio, you could listen the channel you like

Unlike our previous pick, the DIGITNOW doesn't have built-in speakers, but it does have a dual detachable speaker system, and sound quality was quite good. The sound quality was so good, in fact, that we ended up playing some of our vinyl records through the DIGITNOW's speakers for pure enjoyment. The DIGITNOW Bluetooth Record PlayerTurntable does come with built-in speakers, but it only has a single, mono speaker. The sound quality wasn't quite as good, but it's good enough to play vinyl records with the built-in speakers. The DIGITNOW Bluetooth Record PlayerTurntable also has a built-in amplifier, so it's able to power up to two speakers. Although the sound quality is great, the DIGITNOW's built-in speakers are too small and there's no bass. So, if you want better sound quality, you'll need to invest in additional speakers, or attach external speakers to the DIGITNOW.

The Boytone BT-38SM is our pick for budget-minded vinyl enthusiasts who don't want to spend a lot of money on a turntable. The BT-38SM has a simple, retro look, and it plays vinyl records, cassettes, and CDs, with audio output via 1/4-inch AUX and RCA inputs. It also has an AM/FM radio and a built-in Bluetooth receiver. It records to USB and SD, and it has a FM transmitter, so you can also use it to listen to the radio at home. It has a simple, easy-to-use display, and it comes with a belt clip and a 32GB SD card for MP3 files. It also plays MP3 files with WAV files, so it offers more versatility than other players. The BT-38SM isn't as portable as our other pick, the Crosley CR-1200, and it doesn't have Bluetooth connectivity, so you can't stream music to it from your phone or music player. The BT-38SM also doesn't have an LCD screen, so it's harder to see what you're playing. If you're just getting started with vinyl, the BT-38SM is an excellent choice.

Boytone BT-28MB, Bluetooth Classic Style Record Player Turntable with AM/FM Radio, CD / Cassette Player, 2 Separate Stereo Speakers, Record from Vinyl, Radio, and Cassette to MP3, SD Slot, USB, AUX

Boytone BT-28MB

by Boytone

Record from Vinyl, Radio, and Cassette to MP3, SD sot, USB, AUX. Convert vinyl to MP3 format without a computer. Boytone BT-28MB Classic style with modern technology - Bluetooth wireless music streaming turntable with 2 separate stereo speakers.

The Boytone BT-28MB is a somewhat unusual record player, but that's part of its charm. The BT-28MB combines a CD player, a tape player, an MP3 player, a radio, and an SD card reader into one unit. It plays CDs, cassettes, and vinyl records; it records audio to SD, USB, and AUX; and it converts vinyl records, cassette tapes, and radio into MP3 files (using Boytone's vinyl to MP3 conversion service). The BT-28MB's cassette deck is a little noisy, but that's a common problem among cassette players. The speakers are on the small side, but they are loud enough for casual listening, and the unit has enough power to fill a small room, although it's best suited for use in a small apartment or dorm room. The BT-28MB also comes with an AM/FM radio, and it's compatible with Android and iPhone devices. The BT-28MB's design is classic, with an attractive wooden cabinet and a display that slides out from the top. The downside is that it's relatively heavy, and it's a challenge to find the controls. The buttons at the top aren't very responsive, and the unit's menu system isn't intuitive. The BT-28MB uses Boytone's free iOS, Android, and Windows apps to record vinyl, cassettes, and radio to MP3 files, but the apps are glitchy, and they don't have as many features as some other MP3 conversion apps. The BT-28MB is best for older generations who like retro accessories, and it's more suited for people who want to convert their vinyl records, cassette tapes, and radio into MP3 files.
