Fujifilm XF 35mm F2 R WR

Another universal fix, this time with a focal length slightly larger than the diagonal of the frame on the camera with APS-C. The lens is very similar and externally, and according to the figure on the previous (23 mm) in our article, but, of course, it has a twice less viewing angle. The XF35mm F2 R WR conveys perspective just as a man sees it with an unarmed look.

High sharpness and detail are traditionally combined with the beautiful bokeh, and the photos are free from geometric distortions and chromatic aberrations. We were convinced of this in our XF35mm F2 R WR test.

Otherwise, and the XF35mm F2 R WR is very similar to the XF23mm F2 R WR. The same compact and lightweight — 60 mm in diameter, 45.9 mm in length with 170 grams. The body is made from metal and equipped with seals to protect against moisture and dust. Mechanisms inside the lens are guaranteed to work in frost up to -10° C. Autofocus is fast — according to the manufacturer, the sharpness is sharped for 0.08 s.

The lens itself is quite inexpensive, and light filters use a diameter of 43 mm - almost the most affordable at a price. We recommend this lens to all Fujifilm X-T3 camera owners who need a good and inexpensive universal fix lens.

Fujifilm 23mm F1.4 R

Fujinon XF 23 mm F1.4 R is a quality lens from the series of a must-buy for fans of the Fujifilm X. It is a very versatile moderate wide-angle. Thanks to its high light intensity, it allows you to shoot literally in any condition. At the same time, you can not be afraid of abruptness — the lens is cut from the open aperture. Fans of genre filming, including genre portraits, will appreciate the pleasant blur of the background, soft side Fujinon XF 23 mm F1.4 R. combined with excellent detail and glare protection on the covered diaphragm. At the same time shooting on Fujinon XF 23 mm F1.4 R is a pleasure: the metal case keeps the hand cool, the mechanical focus ring is very convenient to work, autofocus is fast. Among the disadvantages of this model, it is worth noting the high level of chromatic aberrations for the diaphragm values up to f/2. But when the diaphragm, they leave without a trace.

Fujifilm 18mm F2 R

Good old wide-angle pancakes with an equivalent focal length of 27 mm! My 18/2 lens is over five years old, and it still works great! The undoubted advantages include its small size, lightweight, and stylish appearance, mainly if used with a metal blend. Another plus is the short minimum focus distance, only 18 cm.

The lens's sharpness is very sharp, and the autofocus drive works almost silently. The picture as a whole turns out airy and very pleasant. In the area of blur without special revelations, the picture as a whole can be characterized by the word "soft," then these pancakes immediately bribes. Plus — high light intensity and compact dimensions, which I have already mentioned above.

Of the disadvantages of the lens - visible distortions of geometry. The image along the edges loses in detail on the open aperture and shows vignetting. However, even with weak diaphragming, the picture is sharp across the entire field of the frame. Another lens can easily catch chromatic aberrations and sidelights, mainly if you shoot without a hood. You can also lament that the open diaphragm turns out not very contrasting and slightly softy picture, which, however, some consider even a virtue. In general, the lens turned out to be contradictory but thus very lively. As they say - with the soul.

Fujifilm XF 16mm F1.4 R WR

24mm in 35mm full-frame equivalent. Light, strong wide-angle lens with 13 optical elements in the design, 2 of which are aspherical and 2 are low-disperse. This lens also has a shifted focus ring. And just like 14/2 .8, its presence raises questions: I can still understand such a solution on a macro lens, but here it seems strange to me. It is good that it has a tight move and arbitrary does not switch. In contrast, by the way, from the diaphragm control ring, which revolves very freely and because of this, the installations have to watch all the time, so as not to knock them down inadvertently. The characteristic feature of this lens is dust and moisture protection.

Separately pleased that the minimum focus distance is only 15 cm, which allows you to shoot close objects. Most analogs have a minimum focus distance, usually in the range of 25-30 cm. Generally, it is quite difficult to get a noticeable background blur on wide-angle lenses, but not in this case! Due to the high light intensity, the background blurring on 16/1 .4 is achieved quite easily. Moreover, thanks to the 9-petal diaphragm, the side of the lens is charming. Perhaps even to my taste, it is one of the nicest of all wide-angle lenses I've ever seen. High light intensity helps blur the background, but it is also useful in poor light conditions. The small vignetting on open diaphragms and the almost complete absence of chromatic aberrations are an excellent help. And here, it is still necessary to add the almost complete absence of geometric distortions.

Perfect wide-angle lens for Fujifilm X-T3! The disadvantages can be attributed to the relatively large size and weight. "Relatively," because, for example, full-frame analogs weigh as much as 1.5-2 times more! But we are talking about a compact mirrorless system, and here relatively large dimensions and weight are not always appropriate, especially with younger models of X-series cameras.

Fujifilm 16-55mm F2.8 R LM WR

This lens is a professional universal zoom, suitable for solving a wide range of tasks: landscape, architecture, reporting, genre and portrait shooting, large plans.

Advantages of XF16-55mm F2.8 R LM WR, which we confirm during testing - high constant luminous intensity f/2 .8, uncompromising image quality throughout the frame field, beautiful optical drawing. resistance to oncoming light, dustproof design, the fast and silence of the autofocus drive.

The minimum focus distance is 30 cm at the short position of the zoom; in the telephoto, the distance increases to 40 cm — this is enough for a subject photo. Bokeh is remarkable for the volume and ideal glare shape with uniform filling, which is not found in every light-strong zoom. The control light produces glare only when the diaphragm is firmly closed, and the frame does not lose in contrast. And what is remarkable, the hood is included in the kit.

There are three disadvantages of XF16-55mm F2.8 R LM WR. Although there are no direct analogs in the Fujifilm X-T3 system, it costs a lot. Finally, it does not have a stabilizer. Still, it is the price of high-quality images at such light intensity because, with a stabilizer, it would be more challenging to achieve.

Fujifilm XF 90mm F2 R LM WR

It is very suitable for all-purpose shooting, and it’s very compact for its focal range. You’ll also generally find that prime lenses offer a wide maximum aperture, which is excellent for low light shooting, portraits, or isolating a subject. A fast and constant F2.0 maximum aperture generates cluttered backgrounds well out of focus, extends low-light shooting options, and enables a brighter viewfinder image. This gem also encloses an advanced focusing construction to supply high-speed and remarkably quiet focusing performance regarding the lens optical parameters.

The lens also features six weather seals to protect against the elements and the fluorine coating on the front lens element that repels oil and water. This lens doesn’t have significant distortion, but it does exhibit a reasonably large amount of sun flare when the sun is near the frame. This lens is very sharp around f/4 and, for the price, shots outstanding photos. The Fujifilm 90mm is designed to deliver speed, sharpness, and performance while producing a top-tier soft bokeh (defocus) effect on the background throughout the entire focal range.

Fujifilm XF 10-24mm F4 R OIS

This ultra-wide-angle zoom seems to consist of the advantages. Chromatic aberrations are entirely corrected, and the distortion is so small that it is possible to photograph a brick wall almost without distortion. But at the same time, zoom multiplicity 2.4 at constant luminous intensity f/4. Our test showed that the sharpness is uniformly high over the entire range of focal lengths — and this is even though the ultra-wide-angle zoom is mostly sharp.

The optical stabilizer reduces the already low probability of “moving,” simplifying shooting from hands.

The sun in the frame does not produce glare. The lens does not change in size when focusing and zooming. With solid dimensions — 78 x 87 mm — the lens weighs only 410 grams. Without exaggeration, the only disadvantage of XF10-24mm F4 R OIS can be considered only a regular price. However, the glass is worth it.

Fujifilm XF 100-400mm F4.5-5.6

This zoom is perhaps the most prominent and heaviest lens in the Fujinon XF line. This is not surprising because the maximum focal length is 400 mm. With this lens, you can shoot a portrait close-up from one and a half dozen meters, the moon in half a frame, a plane per kilometer, birds and animals from a discreet distance, and in general everything you have to shoot from afar .

At the same time, the minimum focus distance is small - 1.75 m, from this distance the lens provides a scale of 1:5 .3. It's not a macro shoot yet, but, for example, butterflies shoot with such an increase in the right time.

Shooting from hands is facilitated by the stabilizer. When testing, we found out that its efficiency is equal to five stages of exposure beyond that at which the "stirrer" appears without a stabilizer. Autofocus works with linear actuators that provide silent and speedy focus. Since this lens will work almost exclusively on the street, the design meets the conditions: the body is metal, with dustproof seals, and it is designed for trouble-free work in frost up to -10° C. Weighs the lens solidly - 1375 grams, in length, takes from 21 to 27 cm depending on the focal length. The diameter of the filter is 72 mm.

Fujifilm 60mm F2.4 R Macro

Macro lenses rarely have a pattern of outstanding beauty, and XF60mm F2.4 R Macro - just the lens that you want to shoot precisely because of the pattern. As required by macro optics, the drawing is sharp straight from the open aperture, but the main thing is not that: the XF60mm F2.4 R Macro very smoothly and gently blurs the background. Due to this, the objects do not look pasted on the unsharp back. The light force distinguishes the lens: here, it is half a step higher than ordinary light-strong macro lenses and is equal to f/2 .4. Strictly speaking, XF60mm F2.4 R Macro is not ideal for serious macro shooting: the maximum scale is only 1:2.

Traditionally for Fujinon lenses, the XF60mm F2.4 R Macro lens is made in a metal case with focus rings and aperture rings. The rings are electronic and control the diaphragm and the movement of the lenses not directly but with the help of servo drives. The minimum focus distance is 26.7 cm. The lens is compact and lightweight: 64.1 mm in diameter, 63.6 mm in length, and 215 grams in weight. Thread diameter for filters — 39 mm.

Fujifilm XC 50-230mm F4.5-6.7 OIS

Fujinon optics park includes expensive lenses of the extra-class and budget models. This class of optics belongs to the XC50-230mm F4.5-6.7 OIS II. The glass is made of plastic, and it does not have dust protection; autofocus works not as fast as in top models. As our tests showed, sharpness on the open diaphragm is also inferior to the more expensive models. However, the advantages of XC50-230mm F4.5-6.7 OIS II are significant. Chromatic aberrations and vignetting are corrected very well — correction in the editor will only be required by the most demanding photographers.

Bokeh is distinguished by Fujinon default beauty, and smooth transition to the area of blurred is very soft and creamy. The stabilizer effectively suppresses vibrations at exposure ten times longer than the critical. Thanks to the highly efficient illuminating coating and blackening of the interior surfaces, the lens creates a contrasting image and reluctantly forms glare in the control light. Finally, due to the light construction materials, the lens itself weighs fewer models in the metal case.

We recommend the XC50-230mm F4.5-6.7 OIS II as a second lens after standard zoom: 4.5x focal length range, small weight, and a good picture will help the photo enthusiast find new angles and stories. To help the amateur will be the minimum focus distance of 110 cm, at which the lens shoots at a scale of 1:5 - not macro shooting, but flowers, butterflies, and birds hit just right. The lens is available in a black or silver case. Dimensions — 69.5 x 111 mm, weighs the lens 374 g, the diameter of the filter — 58 mm.
