I bought the Sony 90mm F2.8 Macro a few years ago, and it’s a beast. Look at any wedding/portrait photographer’s bag, and you’ll most likely see the macro lens there.

We found the Sony 90mm F2.8 to be an excellent value, with its fast F2.8 maximum aperture, solid construction, and competitive price. Longer lenses have always been recommended for capturing people because they don’t distort the faces; they give you nice, flat results.
